REGISTRATION
This is a roleplaying site so please register with a characters name. We are a forum group, so please sign up to our forum, the link can be found on the top of every page, with your characters FULL NAME. First, Middle and Last. Example: Sarah Jane Smith, Bad Example: sja SaRaH jAnE sMiTh, etc. Just for organization and its easy on the eye. Of course, it is fixable by the admins, but why make them change it if you can get it right in the first place. If you do want to change it just pm an admin and they will do it for you. This site does have an application! this is not meant to terrorize our members, but to inspire. So yes, it is a pain, but once you're done you know your character better than you know yourself. Please do not roleplay until you have completely filled it out. Also remember to post in the face claim. It's all pretty simple and keeps the forum nice and clean. Sounds easy enough. Application forms can be found in the 'Report for Duty' sub menu at the top of the page. We recommend you fill in every detail right to the last bit. The more detail the better. We will not accept ‘one liners’ or 'Mary/Gary Sues'. Admins have the right to deny any application they feel doesn't meet the groups standard.
Writing
Don’t pressure any other roleplayers into replying in a certain way, and do not take control of anybody else’s characters. It’s just bad manners, and we don’t like that here. One liners, well, they’re just awful, hard to reply too and make you seem like a total idiot. The minimum word count for a post is between 200 - 500 words, or at least 2 paragraphs. Trust me, it’s not that hard. DO your character some JUSTICE! Imagine what he/she would do in the situation, how he/she would feel, his/hers reactions, what he/she would say. Once you done all that, you easily have 200 word post. Now this does pose a problem with starting open threads. the simple answer? make it medium length, not too long, not to short. Then if you want to lengthen it or shorten it you have a nice starter. Problem solved!
Characters
There is no technical limit to the number of characters you may play. However, we recommend that the characters you take may not be in the same family or subplot as one another. Which means, keep it down to a reasonable number. We'd rather you have 1 or 2 great ones, as opposed to 5 or 6 barely active and under developed ones. Get the picture? Only take what you can handle. If you can handle five characters, go ahead. But if it gets up in the double digits, you might be receiving a inbox asking what's going on here?. Also, please try not to take more than one of the most popular canons, i.e. Ianto Jones and Gwen Cooper should not be played by the same person.
You may be in as many roleplays at one time as you like, seeing as the group operates on liquid time. You may have at least one character from each TV categories in the group. While we are not going to put a limit on the number you can have, we do want to see everyone being active. We happen to know that we can’t handle more than one!. But we have friends who can handle a lot more and others who can only handle three. So pace yourself. If we notice activity becoming an issue, we will warn you. Love your characters. No one is perfect, and neither are your characters. They can't all be the popular, partying, guy getting girl. Everyone has faults, and let those show!
As much as we don’t like to do it… Character deaths could happen. However. Canon characters are not allowed to die unless you have discussed it with the admins. That kinda applies for original too, and even then you should have a good reason. You need to know and love your character before you can kill them, and “I want another" just isn’t a good reason. These characters are legends. If you want to kill them, we are not gonna be nice about it. If you want to do anything big with another character like seriously injure, have sex or something along those lines, make sure that you have the other person’s consent to do so. And make sure it's clear whats going on, because some content might not be suitable for all ages.

Activity
Please stay active! I know we all have lives so we don't expect you to come on every single day, but please try to be on and roleplaying! If you are going to be gone for for longer than 3-4 days, please post in the going away section on the forum. That way you don't just go MIA on us here. If you do need to leave the admins can then put your play by/character up for grabs for someone who will use it. Also, if you have 5 characters, but you only roleplay with 2 of them we will delete unused characters. it's not fair for you to hog characters other people can use. so please, please, PLEASE stay active! If you are away for more than 2 weeks, without any notice, your character will be available and given to someone else who wants to play.
Rating
Ok. Personally, we're not gonna be putting a rating on the board….for now. However, if this becomes a drugged-up whorehouse that caters to gangs and warfare, which I doubt it will be but just in case we will have to put our foot down. Keep it tasteful. Put a warning in the tag slot for your adult threads so that those who don’t want to read it don’t find themselves unaware. In life you never know what's gonna happen. This does NOT mean excessive violence, swearing or sex. Swearing is allowed but don't make it a second language. Since rosetta stone doesn't offer it, we don't consider it a language, kay? If there's gonna be sex, mark the thread with a [M] or [mature] just so those reading responses are expecting. if you want to fade to #000000, sure do that. it's not mandatory, but don't make it so graphic that this becomes a porn site.
Graphics
The REQUIRED avatar size is 250x350 for the mini-profile. Please ensure your avatar makes this requirement to avoid issues with the profile. The gif image in the mini-profile is 250x125. It is not required and will not show anything if the field isn't populated. Signatures are not limited to accommodate the doHTML style signatures. We ask that you don't take this too far or we'll have to set this in stone
Other Things
Currently we do not have a age limit HOWEVER we are a detailed paragraph roleplay group and content may not be suitable for all ages, if problems arises with the age limit we will consider our decision. Changes, may occur at any given time. We, the admins, have the right to update these rules/plots/site content We may or may not inform you at the time, so make sure you scan these every once in awhile. I know we are all cool here, it’s great and it’s wonderful to have good writers and good friends, but disobeying/arguing with the admin team is strictly against the rules. If an admin tells you something, it’s law here. We try to be fair and if we’re not, feel free to tell us. But if we say no to something, that’s the answer. Don’t undermine your admins, please. We are here to help and we are the ones that spent time making the site for you all, we really don’t like banning people.
The plot is there for many reasons. Read it and take it in because this is the important bit for the group. It's what keeps us motivated. You are allowed to request a sub-plot just by filling out the application in the 'Sub-Plot' category in the Report For Duty drop menu. We will then read it through and accept it, if it is appropriate for this group, once again we can deny as well as accept. CRP stands for Cross Role Playing. Cross Role Playing is when you, the player, know something Out of Character and then bring that information into Play through your RP character. You are not your character and OOC things should be kept as so. If anyone is caught CRPing they will be automatically booted from the Story Line without warning. IC/OOC is In Character and Out Of Character, you should know the different, so keep each separate and post in the appropriate places for both. There is plenty for your character to get up and we have sweet forums for you as well to occupy when not posting at your character.
It’s good to have drama in a plot. It builds good characters. However, we do not want to see any OOC drama and someone saying “billy hit me!” from any one of our members. Our members are our friends and we want to treat our friends nice, right billy? You will get only one warning for this, as sometimes things do get out of hand. Do it again, and you’ll get deleted. One last thing, please don't spam, this is a friendly roleplaying community, which should just stay roleplaying. It's just no fun, and it is so annoying to get rid of. Also please do not post any pictures or links that contains anything rude/disgusting. It’s just sick, and makes the site unpleasant.
